Maybe not the most popular type of wine, but if made good, they’re really goddamn good. Beskides sweet and dry Muscat you should also try their beautiful rosé and bold reds. Rosé des Balmes Côtes du Rhône 2024 Strawberries, raspberries, cherries — a pure, juicy nose. Full and rich on the palate, yet fresh, with a spicy twist of blood orange on the finish. Les Balmes IGP Vaucluse 2024 Herbal, with mint and sage over a mineral backbone. Fresh and light, with a crisp green apple character. Doré des Bernardines IGP 2024 (Muscat) Subtle notes of linden blossom, elderflower, and peach. Very dry and taut on the palate, with a delicate bitterness on the finish. Les Balmes Côtes du Rhône 2023 (Grenache/Syrah 90/10) Deep dark fruit: berries, plums, a touch of spice. Remarkably fresh and clean. Beaumes de Venise 2023 (GSM) Bold and meaty, with ripe plum, dried fruit, intense pepper and smoky, almost ashy notes. Distinctive and vibrant.
